I think you all know how much we love our town. We find more and more things to love about living in Naas on a regular basis. As a busy town, it is a lively place and one that has a brilliant community spirit. Here are some of the reasons why Naas is a wonderful place to raise a family.
Great Facilities – With K leisure in the town it means everyone regardless of membership can access the swimming pool and go to the gym when it takes their fancy. Naas Sports Centre is home to many football pitches and it is a great spot for activities. Furthermore, the area boasts a skate park and a kid-friendly park with lots to do. It is a one stop shop for fun and it will certainly keep the kids busy for a few hours between swimming, playing in the park and the skate park too. Monread boasts a great park too and some well-kept pitches for the footie enthusiasts. Let’s not forget the beauty around either with the lakes and the canal beautifully positioned for daily walks and runs. K bowl is close by and there is indoor mini golf in the same business park too
Party Places, Play Centres and the Cinema– Naas has an abundance of family friendly play centres and for birthday party occasions parents are spoilt for choice with a huge amount of choice. The cinema on the Dublin road is an enjoyable way to pass a rainy afternoon.
Schools and Crèches – There are plenty of schools in Naas town,but the population has risen in recent years. Luckily, everything has worked out well and there are a good range of schools in the area. There are also several crèches in Naas and after school care is available too in some of the local playschools.
Proximity to Work – For busy parents, this proves vital. With Dublin on your doorstep the commute is a lot less (than a lot of peoples can be) and if you work in Naas; even better. Naas has plenty of job opportunities too now with the Kerry Group and several high profile grocery stores.
Local Clubs and Groups – There are so many clubs and groups in Naas that is makes entertaining the children a whole lot easier. From drama to football, Naas has something for everyone. Local clubs include Naas GAA, AFC, Naas Rugby Club and Naas Lawn Tennis Club to name a few. For the non-sporty types there is Brian Brady’s, Leah Moran Stage School and Jam Music runs music lessons too. The Moat Theatre is a great source of entertainment with its regular shows and theatre performances.
Public transport links – Public transport in Naas is good, especially for those heading to Dublin and with the Sallins train station nearby this is a huge advantage. For the college years, this will prove a huge lifesaver in terms of commuting for young adults as they complete their studies.
